LOCUST BEAN GUM
As well as the cereal line, we also produce locust bean gum in a separate complex. Known technically as E410, it is a natural additive extracted from the seeds contained in the pods of the carob, a centuries-old tree that is widely found throughout the Mediterranean.
Our locust bean gum is produced only with select fruits and a thermal-mechanical process that respects the environment. Due to its properties as a natural thickener, emulsifier, gelling agent and stabiliser, it is the perfect product for the food industry.
The brown flour obtained from carob pulp is instead an excellent substitute for cocoa and is a valid alternative for those who are allergic to this ingredient. High in fibre, protein, vitamins, calcium, phosphorus and mineral salts make this a product that is rich in healthy benefits and properties.
